Rooftop Tour, Biltmore House, Asheville North Carolina The Rooftop Tour This is our personal favorite, and one of the most popular guided Biltmore House Tours. It starts by heading up the mansion's magnificent cantilevered circular staircase, then ropes are lifted and you are off down long hallways filled with rooms that most visitors never get to see. Highlights include the upper balcony of Vanderbilt's fourth floor observatory where he used to take visitors to enjoy the spectacular views of his estate. Here and on other fourth floor walkways and balconies, you'll enjoy not only panoramic vistas, but also get a close up look at Biltmore's magnificent gargoyles and other fine carvings that decorate the upper parts of the structure.

Servants Bedroom, Biltmore House, Asheville North CarolinaBehind the Scenes Tour This tour offers an intriguing look at the rooms used in everyday life "behind the scenes" at Biltmore Estate, North Carolina, during the height of the Vanderbilt years. You'll visit Mrs. Vanderbilt's bath, maid's quarters and many other rooms not usually open to the public. Tour The Butlers Pantry, the Bachelor's Quarters and visit the Organ Gallery in the Banquet Hall Loft, which holds a massive pipe organ that once entertained Vanderbilt's dining guests. Tour the sub basement, and the Servant's Courtyard Balcony.

Winery Guided Tour This special guided tour of the winery offers an in-depth look at the fine wine making process on Biltmore Estate. North Carolina has a growing reputation for fine wines, and Biltmore Winery is one of the largest and certainly the most visited winery in the state. This tour takes in the ultra modern fermenting room, the bottling room and includes a ramble through the cool cellars where long rows of oak casks hold carefully aging wines. Some tours include barrel tastings, and all include a stop at the wonderful tasting room where many of the dozens of types of wines produced here can be sampled.

Carriage Tour, Biltmore House, Asheville North CarolinaRiver Bend Farm Guided Tour In its heyday, Biltmore Estate, North Carolina was supported by a network of large and efficient farms whose fields, dairies and other agricultural operations paid for the maintenance of the great estate. This daily tour offers a glimpse of what everyday farm life was like on Biltmore Estate in Vanderbilt's time. You can get up close and personal with farmyard animals, meet a blacksmith, a woodworker, try your hand at churning butter and see Cornelia Vanderbilt's antique 1911 Stevens-Duryea touring car.

Legacy of the Land Motorcoach Tour Tour Biltmore Estate in a 25 seat motor coach while learning about the history of the estate prior to the Vanderbilt era. See archeological and historic sites on the estate and other areas seldom open to visitors. Visit the Hawkins Family Cemetery to learn about this early pioneer family. See remnants of a railroad used during construction of the estate. Discover the revolution in farming techniques and massive restoration of Biltmore's forests that Vanderbilt undertook, and learn about his plan to make the estate a self supporting.
